Winter Wonderland
The Winter days have been curiously wonderful. Bright sunshine, cold mornings, early buds creates an opportunity
to pause and reflect on the changes occurring in our worlds. Lately, I've been thinking a lot about transformation.
I was pondering the metamorphosis of the catepillar into the butterfly and thinking that the process must either be painful
in some respect or that there was a wonderful narcotic that was secreted to allow a state of numbness through this alluring
transformation. What I did recognize as being most significant is the element of time. Time being so exacting
for the emerging of the butterfly after being in the chrysalis for its period of transformation. How do we transform?
How do we numb ourselves during this period of change? How do we present in a graceful manner to accept the tide of
change? How do we question the possible avenues that are available to us in our quest and process of change? I
believe the many diseases that we are witnessing in this time are presentations of genetic change of our species. We
are exposed to so many varied elements in our foods, our environment, our technology, and our medical care. What is
our transformed species being prepared for with respect to the worldly changes that are occuring? There is much to think
about during this time of transition. Blessing for the remainder of these Winter months. Dr Kelly
